Steps to Become a Member+
- Register online using this link or the 'Register Online!' button at the top of the page.
- After registering, complete the Membership Confirmation Google Form using this link or the 'Submit Registration Confirmation!' button at the top of the page. Be sure to upload a screenshot of your payment receipt sent to your email. This step is very important! Without confirmation of a receipt, we cannot finalize your registration.
- After receiving a confirmation email from us, pick up your Member+ t-shirt at any Pre-Medical Society meeting.
- Enjoy your Member+ benefits and track your points for the opportunity to win an MCAT prep course scholarship!
Member+ Google Drive Resources
To support our Member+ members throughout their pre-health journey, we maintain a dedicated Member+ Google Drive containing curated, high-value materials designed to help you stay informed, prepared, and organized. This centralized resource hub is continuously updated by Pre-Med Society officers and includes materials from meetings, workshops, panels, and external opportunities.
Within the Member+ Google Drive You'll Have Access to:
- Membership tracking sheet to monitor activity within the organization (details below).
- Priority access to organization workshops, volunteering, and shadowing opportunities, many of which have limited capacity and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- MCAT preparation resources, including question sets, mock study schedules, admissions guides, prep books, access to the MSAR portal (database of medical schools in the U.S.) and more!
- Clinical and research opportunities, including curated lists of contacts and programs to help you network and gain experience during your pre-health journey.
- Leadership opportunities through officer and officer intern positions, available exclusively to Member+ students and designed to support medical school applications.
- Guest speakers and networking with healthcare professionals, offering Member+ priority for speaker topics and personalized support in building professional connections.
- Resume and application support, including priority access to one-on-one resume reviews and workshops on personal statements and secondary applications.
Membership+ Points
The Membership+ point system is how Pre-Med Society tracks your involvement with the organization. Points are earned through activities such as attending meetings, workshops, panels, and participating in volunteer events. This system allows us to recognize and reward active engagement within the Society.
At the top of this page, you’ll find a link to the Member+ points log, where you can track your own progress. Points are displayed semi-anonymously using the last four digits of your UNM ID number.
This point system is also used to determine eligibility for the Blueprint MCAT Scholarship, which is awarded to a Member+ who has demonstrated consistent involvement and commitment to the organization.
